Censored: The Special Feature
My television is flooded with reality shows. At every weekend I have only two choices whether to go for movie alone because of movie only. Because you never know when a character will make entry with ultra miniskirts or some unusual dress which is only made to show her body not to cover her and start doing what you will wish to watch at least with not with your young ones. Well I don’t have any problem with this it’s OK as I am living in a society which is now trying to be modern.
When I was a kid I only have one channel to get entertained and that is national channel which is eagerly watched by my grandfather and father at specific time “The News Hour”. In that prime time being a national channel it does shows some small clips on population control as commercial breaks to make people aware of fact. Those use condom advertisements will make everybody look down and here there as it was not important at all to have attention to it. But at that time also such advertisements were bold enough to be discussed on dinner table even though those ads have nothing such element in their video which will embarrass you to watch it with younger members of family.
But time changed so as my television. Satellite channels came where everything is available from good to bad and bad is transformed to bold. The vulgarity and abusive language is style, script and coolness for most of the reality shows. On weekends you are not allowed to go for an outing with your loved one because some award show is waiting on that day in which big star will comment on their controversial issues to tease each other. Throughout that weak you will find that every NEWS channel making NEWS of it, that what will happen this Saturday! And ultimately when you watch the show you will find the same expected as it was not promised in the promos. My television is not only spoiling my weekends but also giving me threats. I can’t watch a single channel with my family specially news channel on TV which my father always preferred. But the same advice I can’t pass to my son as I am threatened by some unusual advertisement. Those advertisements which have hot chocolate and strawberry and all erotic things, it is threatening me. I am scared of the thought that one day when we all watching TV during dinner and that add will hit the screen and my little 5 year old son will watch it with eyes wide open. What will I do at that time, should I stop him or change the channel? Both situations will put me in no men’s land. If my son asks me, a five year old kid asks me what is condom and how it used. What will be my answer? Actually this is the situation which I am avoiding from couple of weeks. But sooner that firewall of avoidance will perish. Not only that advertisement but many other shows telecasted during prime time with so many beeps and some which are censored but one can easily make a guess what is going behind the blurred images am not sure why those moments of intimacy ,actually of vulgarity are showcased as reality. I don’t know whether these guys who act and make such shows and ads have some moral responsibility or not.But such shows and ads are seen and loved by people that is why they are made. I am clueless what to be done. Even I don’t know who is to be blamed for this, people who watch it or people who make it!
Many expert educationalists, socialist that seems to be unofficial brand ambassador of such uncensored and censored matter will argue that this is what the modernization is and this the way the our society is changing, this is free society and if you don’t like certain thing better you close your eyes to that. Other will come against this argument and cry loud that these imported formats of reality shows is destroying our culture. They seem to be fighting and making a war of words and guess what. All this drama will be running live, again on your TV. At the end of this argument battle everybody will hold Govt. accountable as we do every time. But Govt. is busy in removing some kind of stains it had got after wrestling with opposition in the mud of corruption. My TV is still remains free for vulnerability in the form of coming soon realty shows because we are living in free society.

Finally Happened: The NON-VIOLENT WAY
After struggle of 18 days people of Egypt got success in removing 30 year old Hosni Mubarak’s dictatorship. People want democracy from the Govt. which was now handed over to Army with a promise that democracy will resume very soon. Same promise was made to the people of our neighboring country PAKISTAN before a decade. During the rule of Army or better we called Mushrraf country seen their beginning of worst era which is still not ended. There are many other example from various people struggles which failed to get what they demanded for. Now for the people of Egypt it is very important that they continue for the democracy for which they did all this. They have nurture the sprouting which came from the grounds of dictatorship in the intense atmosphere. It’s now the responsibility of people that they participate in the making of fate of their country. The job of making a prosperous country has just begun. Egypt needs a leader who can represent them on international level and control the havoc which might take place in near future. The job for thousands of modern revolutionaries has not ended yet. They have to continue with their movement until they get government made on principles of democracy and only for peoples welfare. By adopting a non violent struggle they have proved that the Gandhian philosophy have got an evergreen magic of doing strange things.
Many experts would question on the importance of non violent approach in the era of nuclear power. Non violent struggles have got success in past where as there are hardly any example in modern history where war or violent struggle came up with a solution. Mahatma Gandhi in India, Nelson Mandela in Africa and recently Sui Ki in Myanmar have used this tool for people. It will be very interesting to wait and watch who will emerge as proficient leader for the people of Egypt. That will be the defining moment for the whole world. Especially for the countries who are struggling for the democracy. If Egypt gets success as a democracy in future, will be an inspiring example for the peoples all over the world specially for middle east and south Asia.
Egyptians have given a very strong message to all. People all over the world can inspire one more time from the Egyptian struggle and all leader all over the world irrespective to the type of Govt. they are representing, if they are not able to stand and deliver for the peoples welfare. People will fight back and demolish such system. And the bottom line is that if
“If the old is not working it’s time to replace it with a new and working one”
SOLVING PROBLEMS
When a problem creator brings up an insignificant issue there are many ways of tackling it (each way is unique and suiting certain kinds of problems, so prudence has to be exercised in choosing the way that will suit one's problem). A few of them are:
1. Laughing it off. Make constructive fun out of the situation, laugh out loud and avoid the ill effects. Somebody said wittily - "Laugh at your problems; everybody else does". It, sure works!
2. Zipping our mouth. We have to be very careful in using our words in such situations. We can't afford to pour gasoline over the already burning, unneeded problems by wrong words. At times even silence does reward you.
3. Taking a brisk walk.Taking a brisk walk would help us handle many issues better as walking helps to drain the blood away from the emotional centers in the brain thus aiding us to think without becoming panicky.
4. A friend in need.A call to an old friend would for some time take us away into a world of good-old memories and fun, thus getting us rejuvenated and pragmatic.
5. Get creative.Take a book and retire (may be scriptural, novel, anything that touches the soul and heart). Maybe it's time you tune your guitar again or start your strokes on the canvas or do anything you are creative at.
6. Voice it low. When you converse always keep a low volume, for as the Bible says "a soft answer will turn away wrath" and helps you be in control of the situation.
7. Self analysis. If we analyze and find ourselves to be among the Problem creators, we need not sit and whine. We need not feel inferior either. We just need to develop patience (meditation, music and exercise help).
8. Self affirmation. This helps people in both the groups. Talking positively to ourselves will increase our self esteem and confidence thereby resulting in a total change of our approach and personality.
9. Never nurture the nemesis.Another suggestion that has been passed on for centuries. Never crumble down before problem creators, for in doing so we essentially give their activities power over us, which encourages them. We have to make it known to them at every point in polite and acceptable ways that it is time they stop their activities and that we are not going to be affected by them anymore.
10. Giving up is not an option.Solutions come to those who keep working on their problems. We must also remember that solutions don't just come in a day or two. Maybe it can take weeks, months or even longer. Let us remember what Albert Einstein said "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer".
Developing: A Dilema
Development can be defined by the good development rate, good figures in various sectors, people getting richer day by day, enjoying facility of 3G etc. This all we can talk about India but these good and properous figures often confuses, often hides the ground reality. Theres no doubt we are developing but the development is scatered over few cities only, for few class of people only. The phrase “Rich people is getting rich every day and the Poor are getting poorer every day” still used for describing developing economy like us, and it is true. After more than 6 decades of freedom what we are trying to achieve is not clear because our leadership is not clear. This is the status of the country which have history full of great leaders. We do have ploiticians but they are leaders in any ways. It is difficult to find which politician have established himself or herself as a role model of youth in terms of performance not in terms of popularity. So the development which is limited to the cities where rich peoples live and on the paper which shows the dreams of double digit growth rate to common man and obviously to destitute poors. Lets find out the fact which covers the reality of just plans of development.
A 2009 Asian survey that ranked singapore as the country with the best bureacracy and India the worst in comparision. In every scandel only respective top level authority is punished what about the bureacrats who handels all these scandels. They have a definative role in all manipulation. Govt. stands or falls, ministers appointed and removed from the offices but these bureacrats stick there chair untill there retirement. After retirement they enters into another department with another role and continues to play dirty but safely. It realy doesn’t mean all bureacrats are involved in corruption but one thing is sure that they know all about the system and still remains quite even when they can make a diiference by not supporting corruption causes at least in their offices. Indian bureacracy surely need complete overhauling.
These days media is full of praise for the India’s most prosperous state Gujraat. World class Long wide roads and infrastucture, big investments every year through vibrant Gujraat, double digit economic growth. What else do Gujraat need to prove that it is prosperous and developing rapidly. Actually this statement is little incomplete “Gujraat is prosperous and developing rapidly” but in comparision of other states only. It have too get more to achieve the status of fastest developing state. In Gujraat the agricultural growth stood at 9.6% in the last 10 years which is 3 to 4 times the national average and milk production increased by 66% every second child under five years of age is underweight. In simpler terms 45% of all children are under weight in the state. No district is free from malnutrition 16 out 26 districts have 45-64% underweight children and 9 of the 12 tribal districts have 45% or more underweight children. The state Govt. has identified several reasons. Key among them is that in rural areas milk is sold to cooperatives, which does not leave enough for the family and childrens the document syas. Even in agriculture, the normal practice is to grow cash crops and not cerels and pulses and the families end up with less food grains at home.
Figures often misleads us and successfully hides the reality and when the fact is revealed, it is difficult to digest. In India or in the states like Gujraat development is restricted to a segment of population, development is limited only to the predeveloped cities. So this kind of development is dilema rather then the moment to feel proud. Advantage of development should reflect in Govt. policies and its implementation whether it is the Central Govt. or the State Govt. Poor and destitutes should get the advantage of development otherwise the task will remain incomplete and development will merely be a dilema for many.
The FLAG Politics
Three colours of flag actually represents what we all have studied in school days. Our teachers have explained all sentiments associated with our flag. But the reality is little different when it comes to indian political world.
The orange colour which stands for bravery, boldness and courage is well adopted BJP and other majority extremist. It seems that they have nothings to do with other two colours. For them the orange only represents Hinduism and they are the only inheriters of that culture. Often on some special occasions and to disturb normalcy of india they go for political journeys, popularly known as YATRA. They conduct such events only to test their political popularity among the busy and developing common man. But the packaging and managing of such events are made in such a way that they create some havoc. During their recent Yatra in which they aimed to hoist the flag on lal chouk in Kashmir. Kashmir is the same place which was burning in summer of 2010 in the fire of sepratism and hatred. Fire lost its heat a little bit but it is still there and needs some fuel of hatred to melt the valley again. This yatra seems to do act as a fuel knowingly may be unknowingly. But the ultimate consequence would have been definitely dangerous. They failed to do so. The biggest question is that why only lal chouk chosen to hoist the flag why not Dantewada where naxalist killed 76 CRPF men. They must have also tried to hoist the flag in Manipur where things are as worst as in Kashmir. There are so many places in India where this flag hoisting event was more in need. The bottom line is that BJP wanted some media attention and some more issues so that they can interuppt the upcoming budgetary session of parliament in February. On the contrary they have some opprtunities to do this political drama but they have failed. They failed to act as a good opponent to check the policies of ruling government. Kicking up commodity prices, corruption, black money in swiz banks and other problems such as unemployment, poverty is still there. They must have gone for a YATRA in slums areas across India but that might not have made the NEWS in that manner.
The second colour of our flag is waiting to be adopted by some political party which represents peace and harmony. Unfortunately in political world the world peace have no meaning at all and our political leaders don’t know how to use this.
Lets talk about the last colour of our flag which is green. Green is the colour of prosperity and wellbeing. But the meaning of have changed over the time in the politics. During Indo- Pak partition green colour emerged as the symbol of being Muslim. But in the holy book Quran which teach a muslim, How to live, have no mention of Green as a colour of Islam. It is difficult say who started this trend but it gained the popularity during partition. After partition Congress emerged as advocator largest minority and majority of india. But the fact is congress and other secular parties hardly advocates about the well being of majorty the HINDUS and largest minority the MUSLIMS and other religious communities. Every community acts as vote bank only. The grand old political party which completed its 125 years in playing political games. These days Congress is flying high after suppressing the Yatra of BJP. Congress ruled most of the times in India but one can easily say that it failed remove the basic problems of country. In recent time also its politics and policies are not clear,it is ruling as it was doing a formality. The sense of responsibility and accountability is totally absent. Commodity prices are zooming up, corruption have totally engulfed the whole political machinery. Congress and others who calls themself as secular are actually anti BJP. There is a lot more to do being a ruling party then just showing good figures to public which hides the ground zero reality. It failed to tackle the Kashmir issue since 1947, again poverty and unemployment are healthily alive. Corruption cases as seen in 2010 and external and interal threats to the security is a cause of worry.
Flag politics is just one more episode to fool the busy and developing Indian common man.
